Apple Crumble Recipes      


German Apple Crumble Cake

Ingredients

·        ½ cup sifted flour

·        ½ cup sugar

·        Dash of salt

·        ½ cup soft butter

·        5 cups thinly sliced fresh tart apples

·        2 tbsp. quick cooking tapioca

·        ½ cup sugar

·        ¾  tsp. cinnamon

 

Steps

1.      Preheat oven to 425oF

2.      Combine flour, sugar, salt and butter with fork or fingers until crumbles form

3.      Set aside 3/4 cup of crumbles.

4.      Press remaining crumbles into a 9" spring form pan covering bottom and 3/4" up on sides.

5.      Mix remaining ingredients

6.      Arrange in crumble shell.

7.      Bake for 20 minutes.

8.      Sprinkle with remaining crumbles.

9.      Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer or until crumbles are golden brown.

10.  Serve warm or cold.
